About the only thing worse than my characters is my pinyin; although, ironically, I know the characters for "pinyin." The title is supposed to say "I'm back," more or less. Zou you, you know.
Look, I'm back. It's 8:17 a.m., Thanksgiving morning. I was trying to finish a paper--well, actually, I did finish it--and got down to the old office at 2:45 a.m.. I think I'm still on Shanghai time. Which means, I think, that my body is convinced it's next Wednesday or something.
Lots of stories forthcoming from my trip to China, and I know my reader is looking forward to that.
But until then, Happy Thanksgiving. R.I.P., Joe Nuxhall; the ol' lefthander really is rounding third and heading home.

Oh great! The only guy I know that's in China is back! Now I got nothing!
I look forward to hearing stories of global domination and american victories abroad.
Time passes slowly up here in the mountains, especially across 16 timezones it's gotta be a homespun headspin.

Ah, my faithful readers. I'm trying to get a paper finished up, and once that's done, I will do a blog about China. When people asked me how it wsa, all I could say was "it's very Chinese." Those who've been there agree; those who haven't think I'm a smart ass. Conveniently, both responses are correct.
MU was better than KU, and that is very difficult for me to acknowledge. Oklahoma may beat them, but I'm putting my money on the Tigers. Too much offense. Weird to think the national championship game could be WVU vs. MU. Trying to follow this from China, with intermittent access to the 'net, was interesting; it all looked rather bizarre, until I discovered that, in fact, it was.
Go Hawks. Top 5 in hoops and football is pretty new territory for one of those teams.
Hey, your pinyin is better than my pinyin, so I'm not gonna complain.
I'd love to read stories about your trip, and see, you have more than one reader! I think you would like to read Psychology of Baseball: inside the mental game of the major league player, before you have to get back to lighter-weight issues such as Kant and metaphysics and the like. The book made me wonder how anybody can play that game much less at the ML level. Ask Robyn to check it out for you -- we own it. Sad news about that sweetie pie Joe Nuxhall.
